I love riding my bike and wanted Lucky to ride with me. At 7 he is too big for a baby seat, but doesn't ride well enough on his bike for the traffic on our roads. At one time I used a pull-along tandem. Unfortunately, it hooked to the seat post, and because of my lack of height, his pedals scraped the ground. I was looking for a regular tandem this week, but then yesterday he broke his leg. No bike riding for him this summer. Sadly, also no swimming, or any other wet/dirty summer activity.
The break is just above his knee, so he has a cast that starts below his hip to just above his ankle. At least he can wear the shoes I bought after he had the cast on his foot off in April. Yes, my son is a regular at the orthopedic doctor. I swear they should have some kind of punch card system. 3 broken bones and your next cast is free.
Needless to say, I'll be biking solo this summer.
